Testing accuracy: 'Smart meter' v. traditional meter
Last week the electric delivery provider Oncor went before the PUC to present the "Oncor Smart Meter Verification Plan." As part of the plan, Oncor is conducting side-by-side testing at the homes of 24 volunteers in the Killeen-Temple area.

Mayor Lee Leffingwell is pulling his support for a vote on the urban light rail this November. He said there is no way the city will be prepared to lay out an exact route and estimate costs in the next eight months.

Code violation notices flood S. Austin neighborhood
Seventy-six homeowners in the Fairview neighborhood in south Austin have received code violation notices. They city said proper permits were never filed for their garage conversions. Homeowners argue the change was made decades before they purchased the homes.
